My FPL GW36 differentials pick article will provide FPL Managers with a line-up of gems you may not be considering but may pick up valuable points to help you outscore the competition. My starting eleven of differentials will be made up of players with an ownership of less than 10%, meaning if selected by you, you could be outscoring 9 of every 10 Managers in the game!

GW35 was not over at the time of writing, however, with two games left I had 5 returns from 10 players and a score of 55 with Kabak, Sigurdsson, Richarlison & Cavani left to play.

This starting eleven was selected on Thursday 13th May 2021 and as of this date had an average ownership of 4.33%, and an overall value of £67.8m.

Jordan PICKFORD – 5.1% – £4.8m

Regular readers will be aware I look to see which team is facing Sheffield United and select my goalkeeper that way. This week is no different with the much-improved of late Jordan Pickford getting the nod.

Since their shock away win against Man Utd in January, Sheff Utd have only scored once away from home (1 goal in 7 games) so an Everton win with a clean sheet wouldn’t be too unexpected.

Sheffield Utd away results
Vladimir COUFAL – 7.1% – £4.7m / Segio REGUILON – 4.4% – £5.6m / Oleksandr ZINCHENKO– 0.6% – £5.5m

I am writing the article in a different format this week due to time constraints, but my 3 defenders this week are Coufal, Reguilon & Zinchecnko.

West Ham face Brighton, who look to be without Veltman or Dunk this weekend, and while Brighton do have decent attacking players their Achilles Heal this season has been scoring meaning Coufal could collect a clean-sheet while also providing at the other end against a weakened Brighton defence.

Spurs face Wolves, and I do like a full-back against a wing-back and I’m backing Reguilon to rise to the challenge of Traore & exploit the space created by Son ahead of him. Lastly, in defence at least, I’ve chosen to second-guess Pep… The title is now won, with all eyes firmly on the Champions League Final. I think Pep will look to get back to his strongest XI vs Newcastle, and at the moment, I believe that includes Zinchenko.

Dwight MCNEIL – 0.5% – £5.7m / RAPHINHA – 5.2% – £5.4m / Riyad MAHREZ – 5.7% – £8.0M / Gylfi SIGURDSSON – 3.7% – £6.9m

Burnley face Leeds, who have had trouble with defending set pieces all season, and the one team you won’t want to face when having those struggles are Burnley. Dwight McNeil can be dangerous from a dead ball situation as well as in open play and I fancy him this weekend if Burnley are to get anything vs Leeds.

I have also selected a second player involved in this match, in Raphinha. Raphinha is back and while I hope he is to start, I can’t be 100% sure, but Leeds are a much better team with Raphinha involved and he will be itching to get back to his form before his injury.

For all the reasons I’ve selected Zinchenko in defence, I have gone for Mahrez in midfield – if he starts he could have some unbelievable joy on Friday night. My fourth midfield selection is Gylfi Sigurdsson, Everton vs Sheffield United, Sigurdsson on set pieces, yes please!

Danny INGS – 5.9% – £8.4m / Chris WOOD – 3.6% – £6.4m / Michail ANTONIO – 5.8% – £6.4m

Danny Ings made his return in the second game of the past GW and scored twice to show Southampton what they have been missing, Southampton face an already-relegated Fulham and I’m backing the Saints to capitalise on Fulham’s recent misery.

Chris Wood, in the form he is in, against a Leeds team that struggle in the air, no brainer! My final selection is Michail Antonio, playing a Brighton side that, as already mentioned when discussing Coufal, are missing Veltman and Dunk from their defence. With Brighton guaranteed safety and missing two big players, it will be interesting to see how they deal with the reshuffle forced upon them and I’m backing Antonio to take full advantage of the situation!
